Today’s post is an exciting one for me, because I partnered with the local boutique in downtown Napa, CA, BOHO LIFESTYLE, to showcase some beautiful pieces they have in store (and online) right now, including my favorite velvet dress!
Velvet for the Holidays
Since NYE is just few days away, I wanted to give you ladies some ideas on what to wear on the last day of 2016! This crushed velvet dress I’m wearing was a love at first sight, and I was so happy when I tried it on! It fit me like a glove. Even some shoppers at the store all agreed that I need to take this little number home.
Now on to this velvet dress. This material feels like butter on your skin! OK, maybe not the most flattering description, but it’s a true one. The velvet trend this season is no joke and I’m not surprised. This kind of material feels heavenly! Also, it’s usually thick enough and not transparent, so it covers all the imperfections we might have! No need for any shape wear undergarments. Trust me when I say this: This dress will accentuate all your beautiful body parts on its own.
I paired my crushed velvet dress with rose gold accessories and I think they look beautiful together, don’t you think? Boho Lifestyle features vintage jewelry at their store and a lot of it comes from local artists. This gorgeous copper bracelet is made by Sonia Lub in Oakville, and I am in love. It is such a meaningful piece to have, as it reminds me of important values I treasure.
