If you’ve been reading my blog regularly, you know that each month I come on here to review a beauty based subscription box called Bless Box. This is my third time receiving the box, and I can honestly say they just keep getting better! Any makeup junkie or just anybody who loves trying out new products will certainly fall in love with this subscription. Best thing? You pay $30 (+ shipping) and get products worth more than $100 each time! And I’m not just talking about samples, most of the items are full-size!

In today’s post, I’m reviewing the August Bless Box, so expect a lot of beauty, health and body products perfect for that end of summer/ fall transition!

August 2017 Bless Box review

Bless Box review by Shenska

When it comes to makeup, August Bless Box really pulled through with some interesting stuff. My favorite out of the bunch must be the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter, because it gives you just the right amount of glow. A great way to apply such product is to highlight above your cheeks, the tip and down the middle of a nose (game changer)+ in the cupid’s bow.

Speaking of highlighters, I also got the GLO illuminator from Manna. That product was particularly interesting because you can mix it up with your favorite moisturizer or foundation to add a bit of a sparkle or dewiness to your look.

The BH Cosmetics eye shadow palette came with pretty colors – the ones I would actually use on myself, which is a big plus. Quite honestly though, I didn’t completely love that product, especially when my friend who is a makeup artist had trouble applying it. While it’s possible that my brushes weren’t the best for palette, I just wanted to make you aware of my experience.

Another goodie from Manna was this mini lipstick that’s perfect to throw in you bag for quick touch ups throughout the day. I actually really like the color of it too, because it’s just like the favorite lip liners I use.

August Bless Box also included this exclusively crafted product perfect for that much needed home spa treatment. In fact, the Bath Soak offers more than just relaxation. I hope this is not TMI, but once again, I just want to be completely transparent with you guys. Right before I received this product, I’ve been recovering from the bartholin cyst. Little did I know, soaking your body in epsom salt is a one of the best cures for this gnarly (and let me say – unexpected) symptom. How funny is that I received this Bath Soak right around time my body really needed it? I call it a sign. 😉

Oh, and a girl can never have enough facial wipes, am I right? I recommend checking out these Ogee ones because they’re organic so that automatically makes them a winner in my book.

Vital Proteins Collagen Beauty Water Bless Box

Now, I believe – the star of the August Bless Box. Chances are you already heard of this product once or twice before. Vital Proteins seemed to make a big impact in the beauty industry as of late. I admit I’ve been meaning to try their Collagen Beauty Water anyway, so the fact it was included in this box was a sweet surprise. As far as the actual performance, I will have to keep you guys updated because I only used it a few times so far. First impression though – use less than the directions suggest. I feel like I overdid it on my first try and that’s why my drink wasn’t the tastiest… 😛

Bless Box

The only thing that I would change in this month’s box is the packaging. For some reason, my collagen beauty powder was all over the other products in the box. Also, the Popchips, although delicious, came out of the bag rather smushed. Of course, all that can be blamed on the delivery service, but I would love to find another way to package certain products so they don’t come out of the box in a bad shape. Makes sense?
