If you ever grew up loving fashion, I bet you used to hit one or two of your favorite thrift stores when you were younger (and didn’t make enough money yet to spend at the local mall). I admit, now that I’m older, I don’t go thrifting as often but this might change soon!
I was recently approached by thredUP, an online destination for all your thrifting needs and I gotta say I was instantly intrigued! They carry some amazing brands from Zara, Free People to designers like BCBG, Calvin Klein and more! In today’s post, I’d like to share with you two designer pieces with tags still attached that I got for less than $50! Can it get any better than that?
Yes it can! At thredUP, they don’t only sell, they also buy clothes! You can order a Clean Out bag from them, fill it up with like-new clothes that aren’t getting the love they deserve, and send the bag back to declutter your closet! As simple as that, and I guarantee, you’re going to feel amazing afterwards! It’s like doing a good deed and possibly earning some money from it!
I hope you’ll enjoy this Thred Up review, and be as surprised as I was when you see how much money I saved.
This gorgeous top from Rachel Roy collection (sold at Macy’s) was originally $71. After I applied all the discounts on thredUP, it ended up being only $15! Pretty amazing, isn’t it?
I’ve been literally hunting for this piece as it was sitting in somebody’s checkout cart for 24 hours. As soon as it cleared, I got my hands on it and I’m so glad I did! It’s a brand new BCBGMAXAZRIA dress with gorgeous eyelet details! Originally sold for $158. I couldn’t believe it when my price at checkout dropped all the way to $22! Did I get your attention yet?!
I hope this thredUP review convinced you to give this service/store a try!
I believe it’s such a convenient way to thrift AND/or declutter your closet. Not to mention, to save or make some extra money!

Hey Sweetie! It’s been a while since I visited all my fav blogs during one evening! Moving to Florida, millions of things to take care of and broken computer on the top of that. But here I am, doing just quick blog tour to add my fav blogs to bookmarks on the new laptop 🙂 You look fantastic in this dress! This whole idea seems great 🙂 I was not a big fan of thrift stores back in PL, but I looooved vintage stores in the hipster areas in Atlanta! You could find there amazing stuff :))))
Kasia, so good seeing you here! Missed ya! So excited to meet you this week in person! xoxo
I’m such a big fan of Thred UP! I love thrifting and often find gems when I go but I must admit that it’s pretty luxurious to be able to do the same from the comfort of my sofa. That bright pink will be perfect for Summer and I love the eyelet detail to your dress 🙂 I hope you have a good week xx
I agree! Thrifting just got so much easier! So glad I got to try out their service!
What a neat concept for online thrift shopping! Are you able to choose the items you want all the time or do they pick and curate a box for you. I think it’s the latter from how you described waiting for the BCBG dress but I wanted to make sure. BTW the dress looks stunning on you and I love how vibrant that pink top is!

It’s actually the first option. It’s just a store but with second hand items. I was waiting for the dress to clear because it was on hold a.k.a. somebody’s checkout cart. So glad they didn’t end up buying it, haha!
Love that black dress on you, so stunning! xx
